1. Among all the new and fanciful bakeries located along the Main Street of clementi central, this super duper old school bakery is like a hidden oasis only known to the ones who know. It has been around for at least 35 years according to my calculation. I have visited it since I was a kid, in secondary school, in university and as an adult – all sporadically. I went back again today and magically found all the stuff that I used to love at different stages of my life. There is the flat crispy Japanese biscuit. The rocky biscuit with a cherry on top. The Walnut cookie. All these were specially kept in a temperature regulated place, so they came out lightly heated with absolute crisp. Not forgetting the cute piglet, for which I have to credit another reviewer for mentioning it as the best piglet in Singapore. If you are in Clementi, I highly recommend you to walk that few extra steps away from the bustling Main Street to check out this cute little local bakery.
2. Keeping with its traditions. It’s very good and service staff are personable! It seems all the breads baked there are good. Swiss rolls are excellent but the traditional white bread is the one of the bests I have ever had in my life!! Soft and smooth… I actually briefly contemplated in buying a house there just because of its bread…
3. Grew up eating their buns almost everyday, a childhood taste I never forget, nicest 奶油 面包 cream bun, swiss roll, waffles, hei-bee-hiam spicy shrimp bun, luncheon meat bun, coconut bun they’re all love of my life, thank you Hong Yit for keeping the tradition and feeding us with yummy bakes!

Abit hard to describe la you gotta try and see if you know how to describe. 😅 Durian toast $4.20 was still warm during my purchase – smells like durian essence but it’s something we usually dont see. 1. Been buying the curry puffs from Swisslink for many years now. The quality has remained consistent – still very yummy with generous fillings. I highly recommend the tuna puffs too, which are similar to the curry puffs, just that they use tuna instead of chicken and potato. Come early, as they do sell out in the late afternoon to evening. Do support these group of veterans who handmade these goodies! Prices are reasonable too.
2. The aunty is a silent worker, good service and really friendly. The curry puff here is one of the best you can find in Singapore and it’s handmade from scratch from this aunty in the photos.
3. Premium chicken pie is my all time favorite, from Swisslink Bakery. Apple pie is just as good. Generous filling for both. To avoid disappointment, always call and reserve. Oh yes, the curry puffs are also very popular!!!
