Neuropathic pain is often caused by injury or damage to the nerves that transmit information to and from the brain and spinal cord from the skin, muscles, and other body parts. Some of the common symptoms of neuropathic pain include excruciating pain, sensitivity to the touch, and difficulty in correctly sensing numbness. For some people, it can even be hard to wear thick clothing as light pressure can worsen the pain.
Some of the common causes of chronic neuropathic pain include nerve damage due to surgery or trauma, cancer, vascular malformations, viral infections, neurological conditions, and metabolic conditions, including diabetes. The main goal of neuropathic pain treatment is to manage pain and minimize the side effects of the treatment. So, to manage such pain properly, you need to seek professional help from physiotherapists.

I have been seeing the team here for a couple of years on an off – the approach that is taken is one of patient needs first – recovery – rehabilitations and ultimately rewarding lifestyle.
I just had to have an urgent spine surgery and used a different Anethatist- i should never have allowed another to work with me – Dr Yeo I’m by far is not only the best during surgery but post – and during my post operative care at hospital which was only meant to be a one day stay has turned into a week…and at the verbal request I asked to swap over the anethatist/ pain specialist (in other countries the anethatist is just during the surgery, but in Singapore they are your post pain specialists too – so a good working close bond is imperative for your health). So back track to the second day when I was in heavy doses of morphine- which didn’t do anything to my pain being nerve pain and getting the jaded look by this person just said I want my original Pain Med specialised Dr whom i should have use firstly…. he has seen me Everyday in hospital from the call, has since got me to a minor walking condition provided nurturing care and sent his excellent team in as well to offer much needed comfort…. if you have an option to choose your Anethatist then choose Dr Yeo… he is a true professional, he’s dedicated, listens and holds himself and you accountable with a dual program of recovery and rehabilitation which giving you a rebalance to perfect health…. I actually cried when I saw him I was that relieved to be understood – 5 if not 6 starts for him and his team.

Dr Siow solved my migraine in 1 consultation and I am very happy the migraine is gone. His clinic nurses were also very responsive and helpful to me when I experienced insomnia and they rescheduled me the nearest appointment to change my medicines. Dr Siow has very good judgment skills. Beyond that, I was extremely touched by Dr Siow when he also asked how is my daughter. He is a doctor who has a heart for his patients & I strongly recommend him!
