There are many reasons why despite Singapore’s modernity and progressive economy, traditional Chinese medicine or TCM is still being actively sought after not just by locals, but by foreigners as well. The mind and body practices that are being used in TCM are believed to contribute to improving the quality of life for some people, and in some cases even helping relieve certain pain conditions in the body. One famous example of TCM that is embraced globally is acupuncture, wherein very thin needles are inserted through the skin at very specific points of someone’s body. Another example would be Tai Chi which most people who are not familiar with Chinese practices mix up with yoga (it’s not).
Whatever your reason may be, there are clinics in your area where you can try the TCM! Check out our list of the best TCM’s in Tampines!
