Bakeries have a way of becoming part of a neighbourhood’s daily rhythm, whether it’s grabbing a quick pastry before work, picking up a cake for a celebration, or simply indulging in a mid-day treat. In Tampines, that rhythm is especially easy to fall into, thanks to the variety of bakeries scattered across the estate, each with its own personality and specialty.
From delicate cream cakes and artisanal pastries to hearty brunch-style bakes and classic viennoiseries, this corner of the east has no shortage of options when it comes to baked comfort. If you’re exploring a bakery in Tampines worth your time, here are four spots that stand out for doing things a little differently.

1. Fieldnotes

Fieldnotes brings a thoughtful, almost poetic approach to baking, with creations inspired by nature and designed for meaningful occasions. Their cakes lean towards a lighter, more refined profile, focusing on balance rather than overpowering sweetness. Each bake is crafted using simple, quality ingredients with no preservatives in sight.
The brand is best known for their fresh cream cakes, which feel airy yet indulgent at the same time. Flavours like Honey Yuzu and Passionfruit Jasmine offer a delicate interplay of sweet and tangy notes, while their signature Guava Lychee Cream Cake stands out for its uncommon tropical pairing. The guava-infused sponge, layered with smooth cream and juicy lychee bits, creates a refreshing and not-too-heavy dessert that’s easy to enjoy.
Beyond cakes, you’ll also find seasonal tarts and sliced options available for walk-ins, making it convenient for spontaneous visits. The aesthetic here is understated yet elegant, allowing the flavours to take centre stage, making it the perfect stop for those who appreciate desserts that are both visually pleasing and thoughtfully made.

Puffs And Peaks is a great example of a passion project turned neighbourhood favourite, and it’s easy to see why. This cosy Tampines bakery has built its reputation on handcrafted bakes made fresh in-house, with a strong emphasis on quality and flavour.
Their signature brioche doughnuts are the main draw, offering a soft, pillowy texture that pairs beautifully with classic flavours like Vanilla Bean and Earl Grey. Each bite feels indulgent without being overly heavy, making them dangerously easy to polish off. But there’s more to explore beyond doughnuts.
The menu also features hearty brunch-style items like buttermilk hotcakes, which are fluffy and spongey, served with rich gula melaka syrup and butter for a sweet-salty balance. Business Reviews:
1. Pretty good donuts. Sour cream & chives was a savoury donut. Will try out their sweet ones. Bratwurst egg toastie was good but normal, brioche is good. Coffee so-so, not creamy enough. I like full fat milk.
2. My favorite bakery in Singapore – the service crew is always warm, friendly, and prompt. Their bakes are incredible, and they maintain a high standard in the craft they’re so passionate about. I absolutely love their sourdough; it’s one of, if not the best, I’ve had in Singapore. The prices are also reasonable for the quality and portion size.
3. I’ve been an avid fan of this wonderful, homely bakery for years- so much so that i’d make to 2.5h journey from the west to the east solely for their bakes. Its a little out of the way, yes- but I stand by my belief that they make the best filled donuts (amongst many other things) on the island, and that journey is always worth it. Their passion and genuinity shines through in their locally inspired, highly original rotating menu. They have a wonderful attention to detail, in a warm, familial way- no gimmicks or fanfare. Sadly, I don’t live in Singapore anymore, but it remains one of my favourite bakeries on the island, and one I’ll always return to when i’m home!

Their French Butter Croissant is a must-try, offering crisp layers on the outside and a soft, airy interior that pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee. If you’re after something with a twist, the Houjicha Kouign-amann delivers a rich, caramelised finish with subtle roasted tea notes, while the Vanilla Kouign-amann adds a fragrant sweetness from real vanilla bean.
There are also savoury options like the Tomato, Pesto and Cheddar Croissant or the Rosemary, Garlic & Smoked Cheese Spiral, which provide a welcome balance to the sweeter pastries. Business Reviews:
1. the orange peel yuzu sourdough (12) was extremely delicious! it is the most fragrant sourdough i have ever gotten bc once i heat it up in the oven, the next few things i’ve reheated also have the smell. the oven also has the smell. and it smells so good…. also, it has that balanced texture between crispy and chewy as well as that bounce that sourdough is known for. there is not much tang which is great for this type of flavoured sourdough. i really really like this.
2. So glad I find a new gem for my pastry cravings. They have varieties of 🥐.. tried garlic shio n almond apple today and it’s so 😋.. not crowded when I visit near lunch time but do take note they are a takeaway kiosk only as the hdb shop space is limited. Accept cdc too so one more reason to visit
3. Really delicious and well made croissant. Owner helped us make hot our brie and truffle croissant upon request. The croissant has many layers which made it flaky but not overly crunchy. The butter, brie and truffle was aromatic, there’s cheese in every bite we took. Price is on the steeper side but 10/10 will visit again for the good bakes!
