1. A lovely dessert place with yummy pastries! We managed to try their lychee guava cake and it was delicious! It was light and fluffy ~ we also had their lychee tea and chocolate milk ~ we had to take away some of their cakes to try as well ! Thank you to the lovely staffs for their great service too ! 2. We randomly walked past & discovered this cafe. We were attracted by the aesthetic white interior design and food offerings. Their cakes have interesting fruity/floral flavour combinations. We chose the Guava & lychee cake. The sponge is very light and it comes with some fruits bits in it which, I love for a different texture. Their drinks menu also show the sugar grading, so we ordered the Earl grey strawberry tea, which is a B grade. Very refreshing and goes well with our slice of cake.

Overall we enjoyed our afternoon tea break here and on a side note, they have strong air con too! Bonus point for a hot afternoon after some walking! We will definitely be back to try their other cakes and bakes.

2. I was a little nervous ordering the Organic Almond Cookies (Gluten Free and Vegan) and Organic Wholemeal Almond Cookies because in my experience, healthy cookies usually taste like saw dust. And so to my pleasant surprise, they turned out to be very good, and I can see myself ordering more. I like rice dumplings very much, but since I do not eat pork and shellfish, I do not find many choices out there. The vegetarian ones are usually beans, beans, and more beans. I ordered the Organic Mushroom Rice Dumplings from Bud Of Joy hoping they would be better than those I find in the shops. They did not disappoint at all. They were flavourful even though they were meatless, and every bite came with fillings. I actually looked closely to see if there was any meat in there because they were just too yummy for vegetarian dumplings. I wish Bud Of Joy would offer the dumplings all-year round and not only when they are in season. The price point of the offerings are on the high side, but still, I am a fan now.
