1. Had a great lunch with parents after their strong recommendation on the restaurant’s authentic and delicious teochew cuisine. They had been there for more than 5 times! It is also important that the restaurant is conveniently located in a heartland mall and right next to Canberra MRT. Great choice to note if you are craving for that authentic and nostalgic teochew cuisine at affordable pricing.
2. Knew Chin Lee from its original branch at Bedok. We were happy to know that they opened another branch so much nearer to our place and so we went to try the food there for our CNY reunion dinner. The place is well furnished and comfortably spacious. The food was also palatable and match the standards of the original branch. The staff were also friendly and closely tended to our every request as well as helping to serve out our food in portions. The Braised Duck, Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup, Fried Prawn Balls, Teochew Kway Tiao are a must order. We also enjoyed the Steamed Prawns, Scallops and Asparagus and the Steamed Codfish which were fresh and delicious. It was a pity that the Oyster Pancake and Chilled Crabs were sold out thar day. We finished our dinner with the Chilled Mango Puree, Coconut Ice Cream and the Signature Teochew dessert, Yam Paste. All in all, it was a satisfying dining experience for our family.
3. Food is great and served warm. Kway Teow cai bo is special. Teochew braised vegetable a must try. Fish maw in this dish is surprisingly crunchy. We had orneh to wrap up our dinner. The pumpkin in the orneh adds another dimension to this dessert. Staff is friendly and polite. Highly recommended 👍
