1. Hougang Oyster Omelette & Fried Kway Teow
Hougang Oyster Omelette & Fried Kway Teow offer varieties of delicious oyster omelette and kway teow. Run by elderly couple, the stall hawker food in Hougang serves old school and yummy oyster omelets and char kway teow. Sink your teeth into their signature oyster omelet, where plump, juicy oysters are wrapped in a fresh, golden batter and served with chili stew sauce. Or enjoy a plate of their fragrant broiled kway teow, where silky rice noodles are sautéed flawlessly with delicious prawns, crunchy bean sprouts, and savory Chinese sausage.
Business Reviews:
1. Very nice fried kuay tiao and oyster omelette.
2. CKT has nice amount of wok hei along with the strong flavors of lap cheong, and the fragrance of black sauce that brings everything together. Orh jian also another stellar dish with a good mix of the starchy/chewy batter and the crispy parts. Oysters were big and juicy, and the oyster flavors can be tasted in the batter. Quite an impressive stall in a random neighborhood coffeeshop. Hope the elderly couple can continue running the stall for more years to come.
3. Located at a HDB coffee shop and manned by two elderly. This stall serves good kueh tiaw and oyster omelette. The omelette isn’t the extremely starchy type which makes it crispy to eat with the generous amount of oyster. Kueh tiaw is on point and not too sweet, with a tint of the wok hey in every mouth. Though manned by two elderly, I came on a Saturday afternoon and was served fast after queueing. Would definitely love to come back again next time.

Stall owner is generous in blessing customers on special occasions with free meals. Hence, I feel welcome & will return again to the stall. Thankful to all of them.

Business Reviews:
1. Today I managed to tryout this highly rated duck rice. And it was totally worth it. For a $5 plate, besides the duck, I requested for liver and taupok. The mixed portion is reasonable for one person, truly value for money. And the chilli sauce comes with ikan billies, this alone makes an appetising meal. The stall aunty is friendly and orderly. Definitely my go to for duck rice. Queue is long for obvious reason, patience required.
2. Finally managed to try it. As other reviewers have mentioned, queues are long leading up to lunch, and one has to go for an early lunch to get your hands on the braised duck. Prices are $4 & $5 for a plate of braised duck rice, and you can ask for duck liver with no extra charge (I believe some of the duck meat is changed to liver for you). They have 2 chili sauces available – the garlic one (more sweet) and the sambal. Both aren’t spicy, and both go well with the duck. Queue moves fast too. The lady will ask 2/3 ppl ahead of the queue to know what you intend to order, so you need to make up your mind fast. They do accept your takeaway box, or you can choose to have their paper-based one. They close when the duck’s sold out!
3. Finally get to try this Duck Rice. The portion is big and Reasonable price. Duck Liver & Pork belly is delicious. The Chili is mixed with Ikan bilis more to sweet side. Boss & Lady Boss super friendly and patient. Thumb up. Will definitely be back! 😀
