1. O. BBa Jjajang Express

OBBA Jjajang Express is a top spot in Woodlands for authentic Korean cuisine at wallet-friendly prices. Locals love this restaurant because of its tasty dishes, which include Spicy Pork and Chicken Jjajangmyeon. The restaurant takes great satisfaction in serving properly cooked noodles and crispy sweet-and-sour pork, all in a beautiful balance of flavours. OBBA Jjajang Express is distinguished by its spotless, roomy environment in hawker centres, complete with spotless cutlery and a warm, inviting ambiance. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for tasty Korean food without having to wait around, thanks to its convenient locations and courteous service.
Business Reviews:
1. Authentic Korean flavors at affordable prices! OBBA Jjajang Express is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine. Their Chicken Jjajangmyeon and Spicy Pork are standout dishes. Friendly service and convenient locations make it a top choice for satisfying Korean food cravings!
2. This place is one of my favorite Korean restaurant. This foods are very well harmonized with sweet and salty tastes without being too greasy. The firmness of the noodles is also adequate, so the signature menu jajangmyeon is a taste that comes to mind the day after eating. Sweet and sour pork is crispy and full of meat, the texture is very good, and the taste is also a fantastic combination with jajangmyeon due to its moderate sweetness. There are several similar restaurants in Singapore, but by far this brand has the best taste. The menu is full of foods that children and adults will like together. In addition, like the brand headquarters of Tanjongpa Street, this place in the Hawker Center stands out for its cleanliness. Spoons and chopsticks are well dried and stored in a holder, which has a cover to prevent dust. I will definitely use this place again, and we can say that the price and taste are guaranteed enough to recommend it to my friends. I hope many people in Singapore will definitely try it at least once. If you do, you will definitely not be able to stop at once. Let’s hope everyone enjoys the taste!!!
3. Opted for 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐀 [$𝟑𝟎.𝟓𝟎], including both noodle choices, sweet & sour pork, fried chicken with black bean noodles, and a side of dumplings. I’ve encountered long wait times at Obba Jjajang, once waiting over an hour for a table. Now, they’ve introduced Obba Jjajang Express, offering popular dishes like Jjamppong and Jjajangmyeon at hawker centers in more locations and at a more affordable prices. It’s a fantastic way to dodge long queues while savouring their signature dishes. The Woodlands outlet is highly recommended for its spacious setting with numerous large ceiling fans and a clean hawker space!

Business Reviews:
1. Not overcrowded. Had an airy table close to the entrance. Easy to get in and out even for my parents. Unlike Seoul garden, the bulgogi was not over seasoned. Great value for the price.
2. We had a very pleasant experience here at this restaurant. Staff were very kind and polite, very observant to see the soup level of the hotpot and help refill. They also managed to clear the plates we did not need anymore, and always served with a smile on their faces. We came here for lunch on a weekday, which isn’t too crowded. We managed to have a reservation to get the $48Nett for 3 people promotion. The spread of the buffet was good, from different chicken selections, to hotpot ingredients. The fish is nice and the chicken is well marinated. Fruit Punch, Sour Plum drinks highly recommended. Will come back again.
3. My niece told me she has tried Captain Kim Korean Buffet so I am next to check it out on a Monday noon. What strikes me most about this restaurant is the attentive and approachable service with warm smiles by the very sweet Malay ladies! This place is well staffed so you can easily asked what are the 3 different sauces when in doubt as I try to avoid spicy food so as to taste the freshness of the food. The must try is the black pepper chicken is fantastic! I had three rounds of this with the very fresh lettuce wrap with white radish, kimchi and spring onions! Messy but fun and interesting way of eating Korean wraps! Just bring your own wet tissues if tissues on the table are not enough for you. If you have a weakness for sweet red juicy watermelon cubes like me, you would certainly be satisfied with mouthful of that, scooped in the thoughtfully selected range of very clean Asian sized bowls, sauce plates and soup bowls provided. What I like most is the freshness of the meat. They have fajita, honey, volcano (spicy!!) and have I just mentioned, black pepper as my top favourite! Seafood as prawns, squids and mussels and Korean chicken wings and beef ribs are available for dinners. The vegetables are so thinly sliced so they get cooked fast and quick to appease hungry diners! Certainly brownie points and extra hard work by the chefs. As for the hotpot, I went for non salty sukiyaki soup and I can easily adjust the sweetness with hot water poured in. They have miso and kimchi choices for soup base too. The weekday buffet here is very good value for money given the fresh veges (pumpkin, brinjals, sweet corns, enoki mushrooms), free flow of non carbonated (best part!) drinks (lime, fruit punch, sour plum, iced water), fries, pancakes, coleslaw, salads, mushroom soup, Korean noodles, white rice, even carbonara, delish and generous protein load! It is a renovated outlet with dark furnishings and endless soft K-pop that is not too loud so it is a pleasant dining experience overall. ✨😉

Business Reviews:
1. Great lunch I had on a weekday afternoon! Decided to drop by this Korean bbq place after having it saved on my list for a long time. The price was extremely affordable with a free flow meat and sides buffet at only $17.90 per pax. We got the Pork collar, Pork belly and Teriyaki Chicken. My personal favourite was the chicken as the meat was very tender. They were extremely generous with the portions as well! The pork collar was well marinated, the pork belly was crispy and was fragrant. The meats came in huge slabs (approx. palm size). The fried chicken was hot and juicy, super good! This is included in the buffet! We tried the original and sweet soy. The original was super crispy and sweet soy was coated with a fragrant sauce. The sides were given very generously as well, however as I visited today, they were out of lettuce. However they mentioned it’s due to lack of stock throughout the whole SG. The kimchi and spinach however! Really made the side dishes stand out as well. The barley tea was $2.90 for a bottle enough for two pax. This tea however had a different taste to it (usual barley tea didn’t have this taste for me) it had a distinct tap water taste. The service by the two men were great as well, they were very polite and attentive. Overall great experience, will be back!
2. Spicy chicken and Sweet Soy Chicken are nice. Kimchi is nice! All pork and chicken are fresh and taste nice too. Not to mention they do provide ice cream after the bill payment. Overall tasted good. But remember to check ur bill, we go with 3 pax but they charged 4pax. They do return me 20.90 after I told them they overcharged me. But after I got back home I only realised they do have service charge (10%) so means we paid 2 dollar extra 🤣 but it’s fine, the food was nice so we will go back again.
3. I give this place 10/10! Delicious food, Friendly & Helpful Staffs! Quick Service! Value for money!! Highly recommend their fried chicken!! Damn good! Staffs were so friendly she was always prompting me to consume the fried chicken while it’s hot as that’s when it’s the best tasting!!!
What I Ordered: Pork Belly: Tender and sweet. You can’t go wrong with this! Marinated Beef (Bulgogi): Sweet and easy to cook very authentic bulgogi taste! Teriyaki Chicken: Nothing too surprising just an average teriyaki chicken thigh. Original Fried Chicken: Crispy on the outside Juicy on the inside! MUST TRY!!! Sweet Soy Fried Chicken: Excellent taste of sweet soy coated on the outside of the crispy chicken! Tender meat inside that steams as you take a bite into it! Korean Barley Tea: Good and tasty while being thirst quenching. Great to lessen the Jelak-ness from the BBQ!! However it’s not sweet so if you like legit tea then you will love this. I’m definitely returning for more of this delicious fried chicken!!
