1. ShenFheng Seafood ZhiChar

Nestled in the bustling heart of town, ShenFheng Seafood ZhiChar is the epitome of no-frills dining done right. The aroma of sizzling woks greets you as you enter, setting the stage for a meal that’s as comforting as it is flavorful. Known for its signature dishes like chili crab and salted egg yolk prawns, ShenFheng takes familiar flavors and dials them up to eleven.
The chili crab here is an art form. Imagine plump crabs swimming in a rich, sweet-spicy sauce—perfectly mopped up with pillowy mantou buns. Then there’s the salted egg yolk prawns: a decadent dish where the creamy, umami-laden coating clings to perfectly cooked prawns. The secret? Their use of fresh, locally sourced seafood combined with the chef’s mastery of wok hei (that elusive “breath of the wok” smokiness).

1. Has been following them from Jalan Kilang Timor business building to now the current location. Their foods never failed me. Like their dishes, majority delectable 😋 their curry fish head alots of ingredient, thick gravy, fish fresh and meaty 👍🏻 their broccoli is my all time favourite 😍 fragrance and crunchy, it ever over cooked. Must try!! 😍😋
2. The menu is rather extensive and service is always excellent. The food quality is just always so consistently superb whether I dine in or take away. My favourites are the white bee hoon, Hokkien mee, prawn paste chicken, amongst many others. Prices are also really friendly like your regular neighbourhood zi chars.
3. A small coffeeshop but the food is delicious! The butter squids r fresh n not tough at all. The fried fermented pork is very well done up, flavourful not stiff n hard. If you’re searching for an experience that blends creativity with quality, SEATOBAG Sunset Way is your go-to destination of seafood in Clementi. This contemporary seafood bistro is as much about the ambience as it is about food. Think chic interiors bathed in natural light, with the occasional waft of sea breeze hinting at the ocean-to-table freshness that defines their menu.
Their star dish? The Black Pepper Lobster Roll. Imagine buttery brioche stuffed with chunks of sweet, succulent lobster, all tied together with a peppery kick that’s bold yet balanced. For something lighter, the Grilled Octopus Salad is a revelation—tender tentacles paired with crisp greens and a tangy citrus dressing.

1. Stumbled upon the store when I was there recently and decided to walk in to take a look. Staff was very friendly and made the effort to explain the goodness of the product.I ended up buying the seabass and seabass fillets. Fish was thoroughly cleaned and all I have to do is to put my ingredients and cook it. Very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.
2. Quality seafood, especially the Barramundi.
3. Love this shop, the fish was super nice.

3. Chin Huat Live Seafood

For those who love their seafood served with a touch of theatrics, Chin Huat Live Seafood is an unmissable experience. Famous for its “live seafood market” concept, diners are invited to pick their choice of fresh seafood—from lively lobsters to massive Alaskan crabs—straight from the tanks. Watching the chefs transform these live ingredients into culinary masterpieces is part of the charm.
Signature dishes include the Golden Sauce Crab, a creamy, luscious blend of salted egg yolk and butter that’s both decadent and addictive. The BBQ Seafood Platter is another standout, featuring perfectly grilled prawns, scallops, and squid served with a smoky char that accentuates their natural sweetness.

1. Learnt of this place from a local forum. Ordered a Sri Lankan chilli crab (1kg) and the seafood hor fun. The service staff was really friendly and this gentleman led me to the tank to select the crab, weigh it in front of me, and inform me of the price. Very transparent pricing and not as expensive as the more touristy spots like jumbo. Crab meat was super bouncy and fresh. I was able to make an appointment online in advance as well. The mantou is bigger than usual. I prefer the smaller sized ones but that’s personal preference. The total bill including drinks, gst and everything was $160+, which was really worth it for me and my partner. The ambience was nice and there is plenty of parking at the hdb multistory carpark just behind. Would highly recommend this place. 👍🏻
2. 27-Sep-2024 is our (8pax) first time trying Alaska king crabs and fell in love with it! Nice environment and service from the staff. We did our “homework” by seeing reviews and decided on Alaska crabs over Sri Lanka crabs as my mum wanted more crab “meat” thou the price is higher. We ordered one crab weighing about 2.32kg and had it cooked into two dishes. Half with bee hoon and half chili. I personally like the chili crabs and their signature desserts garden of Eden (which is the mochi) I can’t really remember the name of this dessert dish.
3. Had chili crab for the first time in Singapore and it was an amazing experience. The chili sauce is insanely delicious and the deep fried salted yolk eggplant was also a highlight. The coconut dessert is an absolute bomb of a finisher for a meal. Well done.
