Hidden old school gem. this wan tan mee is superb. awesome noodle texture superbly springy and great taste. chilli is liquid type not the pasty type, very yummy. char siew is the old school type which is getting rarer as most char siew are the heavily roasted type. their char siew focus on taste and texture. wan tan also delicious especially dumplings which was sold out when i was here long quene expected and stall owners are very focused in their trade and at the same time very friendly. the go to wan tan noodles when u are in the area diamond patience needed.
2. The long queues here are justified. For $3.50, you get a decent portion of tasty wanton noodles and a bowl of soup with 3 wantons. The noodles are done al dente and accompanied by slivers of lean char siu. The wanton and char siu is made in-house. If it’s available, you have to get a bowl of sui kow soup. The sui kow is also made in-house and has bits of water chestnut in the filling to give the sui kow a bit of crunch. They have other dishes like chicken feet noodles but my go-to is the wanton noodles. Totally recommended.
3. Wanton Mee with a really nostalgic taste, noodles were soft and had a lot of sauce. they have a few options too if you want wetter or drier. the char siew is classic lean and tough. they put some ketchup even if you order chilli version. the stand out winner was their chicken feet which has been cooking so long that all the connective tissue was gone and only the skin left. they are A rated for cleanliness and the auntie cleans up as she goes so it’s spotless.

Been eating this wonton mee since 2017- I must say the taste and texture is unique and can’t be duplicate anywhere else- the Charsiew is tasty, the noodles springy, the wontons are fat and juicy and the chicken claws are soft and flavorful! The soup the wonton is served in is tasty as well with a hint of unique fish sauce. Do ask for less spiciness if you can’t handle heat as their chili mixture has the kick. Used to be made by uncle and aunty, and now the son has inherited the shop- uncle still helps out there sometimes, I hope Aunty is enjoying her retirement to the fullest! Nevertheless the taste was not compromise as it’s passed father to son flawlessly. Great service and courteous from them!

3. Found many gems at this food centre. This wanton noodle stall is my favorite. The noodle gets along very well with the gravy. Cook just right and not too springy or soggy. Wanton although small in size but tasted very good. Noticed many customers add on the chicken feet. OMG !!! The feet just melt into your mouth. Really shiok feeling when you rattle it in your mouth and only left the small joints to spilt out. Highly recommended. Total $5.80.

Some prefers the famous 453 wtm, some like the historical jing song but i think i found the winner here, and it’s not even one of the famous one. Yes soon heng handmade noodles is underrated and nice. Char siew is not fat, has a good taste in every bite of it. Noodles are good, no alkaline taste. They even have fried wanton which i think is very good. Their cooked wanton is equally good. Best thing? No need to queue. I have tried all wanton mee stalls here and i can really tell you this is the hidden gem.
2. One of my FAVORITE wanton noodles stall. The noodles are so springy and delicious. Char siew is yummy. And wantons, though could be more seasoned, are flavorful too. The auntie serving customers is super nice. Prices are so affordable despite surging inflation. A bowl of regular noodles is $3.50 and large is $4.50. I typically get the large one and it is very satisfying. Will eat here everytime I come by this hawker centre! Highly recommended!
