1. The staff was very gd to arrange a vegetarian option for me. Greatly appreciated
2. this review is long overdue given how often i frequent this place. i remember my mother and i being absolutely blown away by the salad bar the first time we went — everything was prepared well, especially their creamed spinach, sweet potato fries and truffle angel hair spaghetti. salad bar access comes with every order of main ($14.90++) which honestly, no complaints, extra protein is good. their truffle aburi and mentaiko is great if you like these flavour profiles. a definite must try if you want to be filled and satisfied without breaking the bank
3. The food here is really worth the price. When you get a main, you can eat the buffet salad bar. And the variety of food available at the salad bar is also really good! They don’t only serve vegetables, but also a bit of fruits, and finger food like onion rings and potato wedges.

Tucked within an HDB estate, The Carving Board surprises many with its elevated Western food, which Jurong East locals swear by. This humble yet stylish eatery offers restaurant-quality mains at hawker centre prices, making it a hidden gem. Signature dishes include fork-tender BBQ pork ribs, duck confit, and Angus beef burgers, all cooked to perfection. The open kitchen concept adds a touch of theatre, and the aroma alone will tempt your appetite.
Their truffle mushroom risotto is creamy and comforting, ideal for those who enjoy rich flavours. Despite its modest setup, The Carving Board’s culinary standard competes with high-end bistros. A true blend of affordability and quality, it’s no wonder many call this the best-kept secret for western food in Jurong East. 1. Overall above average. Mushroom soup is thick. I prefer the carbonara. Burger just average.
2. Quality steak and decent beer at a reasonable price point. Crowded but worth going at off timings.
3. Update: came here again recently after cravings for some value for money western food. I had the Black Angus Prime Rib this time round. It was done very nicely. Too bad they only had 400g that day, and it was a bit too much. But still, I can’t complain since I finished it anyway.

1. was trapped by the rain and chanced upon this awesome find in the middle of nowhere…. super small menu… but everything taste great so far…. everything has a personal touch… portion is a bit smaller due to the price… but just nice for ladies… go for the Umami Pasta, Mushroom soup, Chicken Cutlet (battered not crumbed… yums)
2. Very nice and affordable western food. Esp the sirloin steak!!!!!and lamb chop!!!!! The fish and chips salad is fantastic too 😍😍😍😍(orange strips not too sure of its name )
3. The food were fantastic and packed with flavours. Ordered sirloin steak, pork chop, fish & chip, and their daily special (Kam Heong pasta with Diced chicken). The portion of the dishes were great, and good for sharing as well. Steak was medium upon request and it was juicy. Pork chop was surprisingly not dry unlike other western food stalls. Fish and chips was battered and served with shredded turnips with orange dressing, which was special, different from your regular western food stalls. Today’s special: Kam Heong pasta was not too heavy on the sauce and the pasta was al dente. Personally, I prefer their umami pasta, which is truly phenomenal
