1. They have plenty of big machines with different type of wash. The machine detergent and the softenet makes it so covenient, you dont need to bring ur detergent and softener . The machine is big and enough for more than 10 kg. All the machine work well. The location is just perfect in the mid of chinatown so you leave ur laundry and grab a bit in 7-11 or have an evening walk in the town. Very close to MRT also.
2. Open for 24 hours, I could allocate my time in the evening to wash my clothes. The output was amazing! Smelled very nice and the drier worked as expected. Wish the coins could’ve been exchanged to non-refundable tokens, but it wasn’t a big deal.
3. Machines are easy to use, there are instructions posted on the wall to guide you. You don’t need to bring your own detergent as it’s already auto-injected, and there’s an option to add softener too. For a normal wash with softener, the rate is SGD6 while drying is SGD1 for every 5 minutes 🧺

2. 5 washers & 4 dryers. Fairly priced modern machines but the dryer took $6 (33 min) to dry a load. Located in a small shopping square with plenty of shade outside the door. Plenty of community seating. Convenience store 20 meters away, amongst other family owned stores & shops. Daytime family friendly. Favorite daytime hangout for a dozen or so elderly neighbors, just passing their time in the shady breeze.
3. There are many public chairs outside to sit on, and there is a cool breeze blowing in the evening. There is also a coffee shop nearby, where you can go to eat while washing.

The price seems high to me but the price includes the labor of the detergent. Laundry is nonstop and there is a fan on the ceiling so it’s not as warm. You can fold your clothes on the table 🙂

3. The humidity for a westerner in Singapore is short from torturous. After sweating everyday and having the sweat stains on every pullover shirt I decide to go wash in the Chinatown laundromat. Lucky Singapore is a modern and I found a modern new place to wash and dry clothes. There is a change machine that takes bills and gives you dollar coins. Regarding washers, the fee is an easy $5 to start with $1 more for hot and $2 for hotter water. Soap is included in the wash. Dryers start at $4 and an additional $1 for every additional minute. The place is well lit and ventilated. There’s a TV to watch but the passing traffic helps break the mundane of spinning cycle of washing and drying that goes on and on and on and on and on……..almost forgot as a modern city with a modern laundromat there is an app to download if you want to go cashless.
