3. Kizuna
Kizuna is a quaint cafe serving authentic Japanese food near Toa Payoh in a chic setting. Customers praise Kizuna’s food for its tantalising flavours and good presentation, claiming that it’s even better than that of Japanese restaurants. Their sous-vide truffle eggs are exquisitely cooked, harmonising the rich truffle aroma with the delicate eggs. The sourdough with kaya, although simple, is satisfying and could be elevated with a touch of butter. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate their robust selection, including the visually charming hojicha latte. The standout item is the Japanese coffee jelly, balancing sweet milk foam with the fresh bitterness of espresso jelly.
Business Reviews:
1. What are you supposed to think when a humble cafe in Potong Pasir can make food that’s better/tastier and more well presented than most Japanese fine dining… At the risk of sounding exaggerated (it’s not), it was the best Japanese roll I’ve ever had. Coffee also 10/10. Great staff. Probably see you next weekend.
2. A friend of mine brought me to this place…. I’d previously passed by once while riding a bike and got a latte from them….. The ambience was chill, the jpop selection fits the energy of the place and the staff were friendly and approachable. Definitely a place where I’d recommend for a cozy gathering over drinks and izakaya style experience
3. We ordered the breakfast platter, kaya sour dough sticks, egg mayo sourdough and mentaiko udon. The food was good and my favourite was the egg mayo sourdough, though I do wish the portions were bigger for its price. Cafe vibes were very homely and cosy. Owners of the place seemed nice as well. Would recommend this place if you happen to be in the vicinity of potong pasir!
