1. Very interesting place but most Singaporeans know this place as i am late to the game. Mostly snack type food but interesting, satay style. Good taste great price. Beers are cheap. Too bad i misses out on the draft beer- empty! Definitely worth a try and easy on the wallet.

1. Nice and cosy dining atmosphere if you manage to get a seat on the inside. Food taste and quality are generally good, especially the laksa and pork satay sticks. The price may be a little steep if you are just looking to get local food, but may be worth it if you are looking at the overall dining experience.
2. Nested in the midst of Haji Lane/Arab Street, this restaurant seems an oddity BUT this is one special place to be if you are looking for local SG food with a twist. A spectacular twist to the flavours and taste. We ordered the Original Roxy Laksa, the Ngoh Hiang rolls, Iberico Hainan Pork satay and XO carrot cakes. All are local SG food, but uniquely flavoured, mild and not too strong. The laksa gravy deserves a special mention as it is not aggressively strong, and just enough for great taste and we ended up slurping up the whole bowl. Another special is their satay, made with chunky pieces of pork served with their home made peanut sauce and pineapple. The pineapple added a hint of sweetness and spurs up the overall experience. If you are a spicy sauce lover, you must ask for their sambal sauce. Great blend of ingredients and just the right level of spiciness. Together with their great food, an excellent service and a nice cosy atmosphere brings the overall dining experience to another level.

2. Located at the 5th level of Village Hotel near Bugis mrt station, this restaurant offers a halal buffet promotion for the month of Sept 24. I think there is great value especially for senior citizens at only $30 nett for the weekday buffet lunch. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area. You will need to make a reservation even on weekdays as I noticed that all the tables are full during my visit there. The buffet offers quite a decent variety of food, desert and beverages. I find the grilled tiger prawns, beef steak and satay are the best.
3. Nice buffet ! All the food is delicious. The satay really nice, fresh from kitchen for 5 min all finished. But they serving the food also quite fast. Which empty, they will top up evert fast.
