1. One of the best hokkien mee in Chinatown location. Savory and delicious, full of wok hei. $7 portion comes with 3 good size prawns and slices of pork belly. Friendly service and waiting time is @ 15 mins.Will return for more.
2. Fragrant and moist HokKien Mee with excellent Wok-hei. The use of Thin Bee Hoon is brilliant as TBH does a better job absorbing the stock broth(which usually ended up being a drier HKM) and also taste better when soggy(good for taking away). Would have been the perfect HKM had the ingredients be more substantial as apart from the 3 sizable prawns on the $7 plate, the shredded pork belly & sotong were so miniature that it’s almost non-existent. Probably due to its obscure location, this Chinatown outlet doesn’t command a queue like its original Golden Mile outlet does eventhough incoming customers were still practically non-stop. Will be my future go to outlet for this brand.

Personally I really like that there’s almost an even mix of thin and thick noodles, which IMO helps to elevate the flavours even more. The sauce is thick but not overwhelming, but I do find the chilli paste a tad too challenging for my taste buds😅 . Certainly an experience worth recommending and returning for😋.
