The serving size is good and filling. You can customize your order. Worth a try when in Tanjong Pagar plaza. They often close midday so breakfast is the best time to try it.
2. Typical hawker food version of Nasi Lemak. A normal Nasi Lemak set can choose between Chicken Wing or Chicken Drumstick. Tried the Chicken Drumstick set with 2 more side items (Fried sunnyside up egg, Otah), value pricing @ $4 which is the same price as the other Nasi Lemak stall in the same hawker centre. Drumstick tasted average but the batter coating is lightly seasoned. Rice was pretty light, very good as a breakfast dish where the rice is not too filling and heavy (induces food coma on this point). Otah was pretty run-of-the-mill quality though. Do take the chilli sauce as it brings out the flavour of the items, without being too spicy plus a tinge of sweetness aftertaste.
3. My go to Nasi Lemak place. Need to wake up early in savour this year. They open at 6am and on popular days close at 8 plus am. I have been disappointed many times when I pop by around 8.40 am and they are already washing the stall. Rice is fragrant, chicken and fish fried to perfection. Wish there was more sambal chilli. You can pick the ingredients as you wish and they will charge accordingly. Prices are reasonable at usually $3.50 to $4.00. I wish they would open all day.
