1. Al Mahboob Rojak
Al Mahboob Rojak in Tampines is acclaimed to be serving the best Indian rojak in the East. Their offerings are distinguished by fresh, high-quality ingredients and expertly fried items that are crispy yet not oily. The rojak gravy is sweet, thick, and consistently delicious, even after multiple dips. Their bee hoon and mee goreng are perfectly fried, not too moist, and oil-free. Standout items include tender paru, crisp tempeh, flavourful bawang and prawn crackers, and wok hei-infused fried ikan bilis bee hoon. While the mutton soup’s lean meat can be slightly tough, the taste remains commendable. Al Mahboob Rojak is a must-visit destination for Indian rojak enthusiasts.
Business Reviews:
1. Best Indian Rojak in the East.
2. Best Indian Rojak & Beehoon/Mee Goreng ever! All ingredients were fresh & every item tasted good. Fried items came out nicely crisp without being oily; the ‘paru’ was tender; and the ‘tempeh’ was crisp, yet not dry. The rojak gravy was sweet and thick and remained so even after many dippings. The noodles were perfectly fried without being too moist, and it was not oily at all. If you’re craving for (good) Indian Rojak, this is the place to go. Well worth the calories. 😃👍
3. Best Indian Rojak. The bawang cracker had loads of onions, the prawn crackers have good prawn flavours and are very fresh. The rest of the rojak items are ok. The fried ikan bilis bee hoon is my favourite. The wok hei is good and very generous with the fried crispy anchovies which gave the whole dish the umami factor. The mutton soup is acceptable, taste wise but the mean inside the soup was lean meat. Therefore, it was a bit tough.
