1. SWISH ROLLS
Forget those sad, dry Swiss rolls from your childhood. Swish Rolls has taken this classic treat and given it a serious makeover. Think innovative flavours, Instagram-worthy designs, and textures that will make your taste buds sing. Their Croissant Egg Tarts and “Croons” (Croissant Moons) are particularly legendary. It’s the perfect place to grab a sweet treat and fuel up for more Orchard Road adventures (or just indulge in some pure, unadulterated deliciousness).
Why it’s a must-try: Unique and visually stunning pastries, a perfect pick-me-up, and a chance to experience a modern take on a classic treat.
Business Reviews:
1. Super delicious, chewy and cute! recommend! The egg tarts were also delicious and I forgot to take pictures so quickly!
2. Pretty delicious egg tart that is available near Orchard road. The special one is the pistachio version, with lots of pistachio nuts on top and the pistachio cream filling inside. Really thick cream, the skin is not so crispy because it is quite thick also. I heat it up in my home microwave for 30s, and it tastes amazing. The original egg tart is quite good also.
3. It was easy to preorder at their website. Ordered on Sunday morning and collected the next day. It was easy to find the store after descending from the escalator. Collection time was at hourly intervals. Staff were friendly and efficient. The bread were cute and soft. The vegetable bread were selling fast for walk in.

2. SUSHI MOKA
Sushi Moka, located within Wisma Atria, provides an intimate and delicious omakase experience. This “hidden omakase” restaurant, led by seasoned master chefs, concentrates on fresh, high-quality ingredients flown in from Japan daily. It’s a gourmet trip that will entice your taste buds and leave you thoroughly impressed. Be warned: this is not your typical sushi restaurant.
Why it’s a must-try: high-quality omakase at a reasonable price, an intimate eating atmosphere, and the opportunity to watch culinary excellence firsthand.
NOTE: They do not cater to anyone with seafood allergies.
Business Reviews:
1. When I first arrived at the restaurant, it brought back a lot of memories from Japan. The seating arrangement and layout felt as though i was eating at an omakase in Japan. The food was great and all the fish and seafood were very fresh. The two chefs serving us were both from Japan and gave us quite an authentic experience. From the first dish to the last, this was a very enjoyable experience that I hope i can have again.
2. We had Sakura Omakase, come with a smoked winter fish, grilled seasonal item, 8pcs nigiri sushi, handmade somen with Dashi. I love their nigiri sushi, very nicely seasoned with the warm rice. Also we had a new year special soup with rice cake as we went on 1/1/25. Lastly the 2chef is from japan!
3. Dining at sushi moka was an exceptional experience. The intimate setting, with a minimalist and elegant design, provided a perfect backdrop to watch the chef craft each dish with precision. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff and a chef who passionately explained each course. The omakase menu was a delightful journey through fresh, seasonal ingredients, with highlights including melt-in-your-mouth sushi and creative surprises.

3. THE OTHER ROOM
You might recall those history lessons about the Prohibition era of the 1920s when the US government banned alcohol, sparking the rise of speakeasies—secret bars where patrons could sip in secrecy. You can channel that clandestine vibe at The Other Room, an elegant speakeasy tucked inside the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.
Why it’s a must-try: Led by master mixologist Dario Knox, formerly of the iconic FOC Tapas bar, this hidden gem is all about expertly crafted cocktails and exclusive bar bites.
Business Reviews:
1. Cool speakeasy inside the Marriot. Unmarked door so you gotta know where to look. Drinks were great, and priced accordingly at about $25-30/ cocktail.
2. Bit of speakeasy vibe at the entrance, then the service and advice on the cocktails was great, and the cocktails themselves are really good and nicely presented. Not cheap (28++) but normal for this quality of cocktails. Great experience with Mezcal Negroni and Old Fashioned.
3. Absolutely amazed with this place. As a fellow UIUX designer, I’m impressed with how User Experience is being delivered right from the start before you reach your table to when you foot the bill. It was my first time visiting this bar and I’m already arranging for future visits. Awesome, great job to all attentive staffs who were always checking if we are alright with the drinks and food served. I tried out Roa Ae today. Looking forward to my next visit to try moreeeeee.
